For those who are mourning the end of Descendants of the Sun and stuck with the posters of its leading stars SongJoong-ki and Song Hye-kyo, here’s hot news!

Another Korean drama that will be pre-produced just like Descendants of the Sun is due to be aired later this year. Reports confirmed that the historical drama starring a host of mega stars was sold to China for a price that’s more than what Descendants of the Sun fetched, and as a result is expected to beat DOTS in popularity and gain. It is said the drama will be aired in Korea and China simultaneously.

‘Hwarang: The Beginning’ will feature Park Seo-joon, Go Ara, Park Hyung-sik and Choi Minho. As per the latest news leaks, the drama will air in September 2016 on KBS2.

A KBS representative has revealed that the drama’s filming is most likely to be done in July. The Korean drama series will feature a story of “Hwarang” or the Flower Knights, an elite group of youth that belonged to the Silla’s Kingdom.

It has created a heap of anticipation after the Descendants of the Sun success. However, the Descendants of the Sun fever is yet to subside.

A section of the media feels that Hwarang might beat Descendants of the Sun as the most hyped k-drama of 2016!
