It is his second win at the awards organized by Chinese technology and online video company Leshi Internet Information and Technology aka LeEco aka Letv. He last won the Asia’s Star award in 2012 for his role in the Chinese show roughly translated as Chen DuoDuo’s Marriage Story. Park, who will be celebrating his birthday next month, rose to stardom in the wider China region after My Love from the Star on SBS became a huge sensation in Asia in 2014.
The Cheese in the Trap actor had earlier revealed that he was proud to have played different characters throughout his career, instead of becoming a typecast talent. He had stated, “I’ve now been acting for over 10 years. I’m relieved that I have not been standing at the same spot for that amount of time. Though I know I still have miles ahead of me, I think I’m getting closer to where I want to be with each role I undertake.”
