Hong Kong’s education minister Eddie Ng was pelted with exam papers splattered with fake blood, as a result of a spate of student suicides in Hong Kong that sparked angry protests over what is seen as a highly-stressful exam system.
From the beginning of the academic year 22 people have committed suicide in Hong Kong.
Angry politicians who had been in the chamber with the education chief for a meeting held to discuss the suicides followed him outside, shouting accusations and calling him a heartless minister.
