A study has shown that gorillas, well known for their booming and chest-beating roars, also can ‘sing’ and ‘hum’ frequently while eating food. It is particularly prevalent among adult males, according to its findings. Such ‘singing and humming’ were observed more frequently while having food, especially aquatic vegetation, flowers and seeds.
