A five-year-old peacock died after it was frightened to death by the tourists who roughly handled it at a Chinese wildlife park for selfies. It was reported that the male bird at the Yunnan Wild Animal Park in China’s south-west, died after visitors thronged it as they held it. In spite of instructions put up for the tourists to restrain themselves from touching or harming animals, they enticed it with food, plucked its feathers and took selfies. Similarly news emerged over the last week of a baby dolphin and a shark who died in two separate incidents after being dragged from the sea for pictures.
