A ghastly video of an Indian woman brutally bashing up her mother-in-law has gone viral after a social activist posted it on Facebook. Reportedly, the incident took place in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh. It seems the victim’s son installed the CCTV camera to capture the horror happening at home. In the video, the woman thrashes Rajrani Jain, her sick and helpless 70-year-old mother-in-law, first with her bare hands and then with a stone. She also tries to strangle her with a cloth. Activist Kundan Srivastava shared the video on his Facebook page, urging chief minister Akhilesh Yadav to take action against this woman named Sangeeta Jain, and after the video became viral, she has been arrested.
Sangeeta and her husband Sandeep have been married for seven years and have filed for divorce. Srivastava writes that she has charged Sandeep with a fraud dowry and marital rape case. “I installed CCTV to expose her bcoz of her behaviour, but still she did not improve,” the son told ANI. It makes the viewers wonder how this old woman survived such a horrifying attack.
