JAL says it will decide whether to resume the Paris-Narita flights in March after observing the situation next year
Japan Airlines said on Tuesday (Dec 15) it would suspend flights between Paris and Tokyo’s Narita airport from next month after demand fell about 60 per cent following deadly attacks in the French city.
The airline currently operates one round trip a day between Paris and each of Haneda and Narita, the two main airports in and near Tokyo.
But the demand for flights between Paris and Narita, just outside Tokyo, has slumped by more than half after the Nov. 13 militant attacks hit tourism, a spokesman said.
“The airline will suspend flights between Paris and Narita from Jan 12 through Feb 29 except for several days,” the spokesman told AFP. Read more
