Fashion show producer and model Jessica Minh Anh is returning to Paris to transform the Seine’s giant glass boat into a 100 meter floating catwalk. The Vietnamese-born fashion figure has picked Hong Kong based brand 5.8.0 to be featured in her Oct. 29 J Autumn Fashion Show. The event follows Anh’s Eiffel Tower outdoor fashion catwalk in October 2014.
To create an illusion of models walking on water, Jessica will have guests seated facing the multi-faceted glass windows while the boat is cruising. As a result, Paris architectural wonders such as the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, the Louvre, and the 37 famous bridges will become the natural backdrop for the unique catwalk.
“I love the youthful and funky tone reflected in Matiny’s designs. She has her authentic style, which focuses on simplicity, shapes, and colours with the use of different motifs and fabrics. It’s refreshing and a lot of fun, ” Anh said in selecting 5.8.0 for the show. The new collection of 5.8.0 will draw attention to creative print, texture, and neat silhouettes.
Similar to Jessica Minh Anh’s previous theatrical catwalks, J Autumn Fashion Show 2015 will combine of art, architecture, culture, and fashion. Besides 5.8.0, the grand event will also include Lebanese Haute Couture label Rouba.G, Turkish talent Gülnur Güneş, Saudi Arabian fashion house Ot Kutyr Atulier, Peruvian artist Ani Álvarez Calderón, and Kiwi heritage brand Iwi Creations.
