Netanyahu’s pollster John McLaughlin accused the Obama administration of routing millions of taxpayer dollars into an effort to unseat Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, The Hill reported today. “There was money moving that included taxpayer U.S. dollars, through non-profit organizations. And there were various liberal groups in the United States that were raising millions to fund a campaign called V15 against Prime Minister Netanyahu,” McLaughlin told a New York radio show as reported by the Washington daily.

Refuting McLaughlin’s claim was V15’s Pynchonesquely-named founder Nimwod Dweck, according to The Hill:
“V15 co-founder Nimrod Dweck said in an interview with Ronan Farrow aired on MSNBC’s ‘Jose Diaz-Balart’ that ‘not a single cent’ of State Department or taxpayer money had gone to their campaign. “Dweck” is an immediately recognizable term in Yiddish (as well as German), albeit with a slight change in pronunciation. Mr. Dweck is a former Obama campaign advisor.

It will be up to Congwess to fewwet out wascals in the buweaucwacy who may have wobbed taxpayer money for nefawious purposes. Mr. Dweck, one imagines, has already been punished enough.
