David started his career at the International Monetary Fund and received a PhD in economics from Columbia University.

He has consulted for the Defense Department’s Office of Net Assessment and for the National Security Council.

Uwe Parpart

Uwe Parpart is Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Asia Times. Prior to that, Uwe was chief Asia strategist of Bank of America and Cantor Fitzgerald in Hong Kong and a founding partner of the Reorient Group investment bank. He is a retired reserve officer of the German Navy.
