Facebook, Instagram and Twitter is not allowed in China, but this hasn’t stopped Suzhou Tourism from reaching out to travel enthusiasts on these platforms.
For the past few weeks, Suzhou Tourism—perhaps using a third party vendor—has been engaging users with giveaways on its Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts. This is a part of its newfangled social media campaign – ‘A Virtual Look at Suzhou: Home to Culture, Canals, Cuisine and Craft.’
In May, the users on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram will get a chance to take part in periodic online events including best picture sweepstakes and interactive polls.
Suzhou boasts a history spanning over 2,500 years. Fondly called the ‘Venice of China,’ is known for its elegant stone bridges, temples, museums, canals, flowing water, and old-world architecture. On the historic streets of Suzhou, you can savor traditional tea and scrumptious cuisine.
