Hamas has called for a “day of rage” after reports surfaced Tuesday that Trump will announce his decision to move the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
Jerusalem online reported Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh as warning that “all options are open” in order to “protect our land and our holy sites.”
Haniyeh wrote in a letter to leaders of Muslim countries that “the American administration has proven that it is biased in Israel’s favor and is embracing the positions of the Israeli government.”
In response to the warnings from Hamas, the Israeli Defense Forces have reportedly been placed on high alert in expectations of a wave of riots in the West Bank.
Trump told Arab leaders of his decision by phone, sparking an immediate backlash and criticism from around the globe. Saudi Arabia’s King Salman said the move was a “dangerous step” that would “inflame” the Muslim world.
“Such a dangerous step is likely to inflame the passions of Muslims around the world due to the great status of Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque,” Salman was quoted by the Times of Israel as saying to Trump, citing the official Saudi Press Agency.
Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said Jerusalem’s status is a “red line” that could prompt Turkey to cut ties with Israel.
The move by the Trump administration is also sure to draw harsh criticism from European leaders. French President Emmanuel Macron previously told Trump that Jerusalem’s status must be decided “within the framework of negotiations between Israelis and Palestinians”

Israeli Jews are digging mass graves using their American Shovel….They better hope their mystical god come soon to pass judgments in their favor…or they might get judged by their fellow men first!
The option on the table should be the Dimona power plant. That is the only way to dislodge them from this land. If you can’t have your father land, then the occupation force can’t have it either.
