An Australian man who raped a Filipino girl from when she was five-years-old until she was eight in Angeles City has been jailed for more than 10 years.
Terrence William Hainsworth, 61, lived in Angeles City between 2005 and 2008, during which time he repeatedly raped the Filipino girl. Hainsworth also threatened the girl and forced her to watch footage of other children being sexually abused, PerthNow reported.
The man was first jailed for 13 months in 2009 when he was caught in possession of child pornography on his computer upon his arrival at Perth airport in Australia in 2008.
In 2016, police raided Hainsworth’s home in Perth where they discovered pornographic pictures of the young Filipina stored on a hard drive. Hainsworth initially denied the crimes when questioned by police.
Hainsworth eventually pleaded guilty to seven offenses, including attempting to have sexual intercourse with a child under 16 while overseas as an Australian citizen and for committing indecent acts with a child under 16 while overseas.
The Australian was sentenced to two years in prison for child pornography and nine years for abusing the girl. He will be eligible for parole after serving six years in prison.
