A Filipino man has appeared in court charged with using drugs, resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer in Dubai, UAE.

On July 4 last year, the 42-year-old Filipino was arrested outside his residence in Al Quoz after police were given information that a man had purchased illegal drugs from the Filipino, Gulf News reported.

When police confronted the Filipino, he resisted arrest and tried to escape by biting an Emirati policeman’s hand.

“He tried to flee and resisted arrest when we caught him. He bit the fingers on my right hand,” the police officer said.

A medical test confirmed that at the time of his arrest, the Filipino was under the influence of crystal meth and amphetamines.

On Sunday at the Dubai Court of First Instance, when charged with assault and taking drugs, the man denied the charges and pleaded not guilty. The Filipino remains in custody and the court scheduled a ruling on February 24.

  1. Hey there would you mind letting me know which hosting company you’re utilizing?
I’ve loaded your blog in 3 different browsers and I must say this
blog loads a lot faster then most. Can you suggest a good web
hosting provider at a honest price? Many thanks,
    I appreciate it!

  2. I believe what you composed made a ton of sense. But, think about this, suppose you
added a little information? I ain’t saying your information isn’t good, however what if you added something that
grabbed people’s attention? I mean Man charged with drugs, police
assault in Dubai – Asia Times is kinda boring. You should look at
Yahoo’s front page and watch how they create post headlines to get viewers
to open the links. You might add a video or a pic or two to get readers interested
about what you’ve got to say. Just my opinion, it would bring
    your website a little livelier.

  3. Hi! This is kind of off topic but I need some guidance from an established blog.
Is it very difficult to set up your own blog? I’m not very techincal but I can figure
things out pretty quick. I’m thinking about making my own but I’m not sure where to start.
Do you have any points or suggestions? Appreciate it
