Every year, more than 2.5 million birds are slaughtered in the skies by lawless hunters making no distinction between common birds and those threatened by endangerment.
Of Lebanon’s population of 4.5 million people, conservationists assess there are 600,000 hunters. The government has passed laws aimed at regulating the hunting season.
But a report by Asia Times finds that many hunters continue to shoot indiscriminately and without fear of repercussion.

Alexander Gebhard I agree with you. We had a 15 year civil war. We lost the war and “shit” took over. Syria, then Iran, took over the country since 1979; they turned it to an unlivable shit hole. We try our best to avoid another civil war and the result is anarchy in a genuine hell hole. People became insane, disillusioned and derailed. We have been under Syrian/Iranian rule for 30 years without infrastructure projects at all. Our only hope now is if Iran crumbles under Trump sanctions and then its proxy Hezbolla would disintegrate to allow us to build the country.
