Russia staged an impressive display of military might at the Vostok war games, which ended on Monday.
The Vostok-2018 exercise was the largest held by Moscow since the collapse of the Soviet Union. Nearly 300,000 servicemen were involved in the drills, with 36,000 vehicles, up to 80 ships and support vessels, and over 1,000 aircraft.
Several thousand Chinese troops traveled by train to join the drills staged in the Russian Far East.
The main site of the massive drill was the Tsugol Training Range in the Zabaykalsky Krai federal region that straddles the borders of Russia, China and Mongolia.
Russia said the Vostok drills were not directed against NATO states in Europe and did not affect their security as the exercises were held far from the NATO countries.

In my lifetime the Russ have been pushed out of Afghanistan (yes they were the first to fk up that country), Poland, DDR, CZSR, Ro, Bu, Hungary. Then the Baltic States, Caucasian, Central Asian staes and now Ukraine. Next China will take Siberia (and develop the place)

Russians have bigger weapons than Chinese, but Putin has been called out by Turkey and Israel.
Russian should say the drill is to deter US led NATO aggression in their Western and Eastern fronts, and Russian and their allies are determined to defeat the US led NATO imperialists’ attempt to enslave the world again as they did in the 18th and 19th centuries. China surely will echo Russian’s weariness of the US led NATO aggressions and will support everyone defending their independence threatened by the no good US led NATO imperialists.
