A 38-year-old domestic worker from the Philippines facing a child abuse charge was released by the Kwun Tong Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
The domestic worker, Gina Cannu Buduan, was accused of abusing a two-year-old girl in her care in October this year at a flat in Tseung Kwan O, the New Territories, HK01.com reported.
The court earlier heard that the worker’s female employer found red spots on her daughter’s private parts. It is alleged that the domestic worker tried to put a vibrator on the girl’s private parts.
The prosecutor on Friday applied to the court to drop the charge, citing the medical report of the girl showed that the red spots could be diaper rash and scratches.
Officers were also unable to get the statement from the girl as she was only two years old and was unable to identify true or false, Apple Daily reported.
Acting principal magistrate So Man-lung said although the cause of the red spots was not known, he agreed to drop the charge against the domestic worker as there was no independent witness in the case.

Yes right could be diaper rashes I’ve been taking care of my child’s employer from 0 to 16 up to now. And we Filipinos are dedicated to our work especially taking care of other people’s children we knew what we are going to face if we failed. And we do not want that to happen
That employers is no common sense, and crazy…it’s better not to give them any chances to have a domestic helper…

Crazy employers… They always accuse the helpers of sexual abuse.. If they dont know how to trust.. They better quit their jobs and take care their kids… And regarding about the vibrator.. Only insane people will do it to a 2 year old girl.. And only insane employer will not keep it in a safe place
