The huge Russian Typhoon missile submarine Dmitry Donskoy is sailing near Norway’s Coast following its participation in a Russian Naval Day Parade in St. Petersburg in July, according to a report in the Independent Barents Observer.
The 172-meter-long ballistic missile sub is on the surface and is not submerged in what appears to be a show to force. It is being shadowed by the Norwegian Coast Guard vessel KV Bergen. The Barents Observer says Russia’s nuclear-powered battle cruiser Pyotr Velikiy is also sailing near Norway’s coast.
