A 28-year-old foreign national was seen taking selfies shortly after the taxi she was riding in flipped and crashed on a Hong Kong highway on Wednesday morning.
At about 6am, a 48-year-old taxi driver surnamed Hui lost control of his vehicle in slippery conditions while making a right turn near Hoi Lai Estate on highway Route 3 in Kowloon West, Sing Tao Daily reported.
The taxi crashed into a roadside barrier and turned upside down during the accident, badly damaging the front end of the vehicle. The taxi driver suffered minor injuries to his head, arms and legs while the female passenger, named Hawn, sustained injuries to her face and mouth, Oriental Daily reported.
She was later seen taking pictures of herself on an ambulance stretcher. Both were sent to hospital for treatment.
