Dịch tả heo châu Phi bùng phát ở Việt Nam làm cho hàng ngàn con heo bị tiêu hủy đã lan sang hai tỉnh nữa trong nước.
Nhiều ổ dịch bệnh đã được phát hiện tại các tỉnh Hòa Bình và Điện Biên trong hai tuần qua, VN Express đưa tin. Heo ở ít nhất trong ba làng ở hai tỉnh này bị bệnh nan y.
Ông Phùng Đức Tiến, Thứ trưởng Bộ Nông nghiệp và Phát triển Nông thôn, cho biết việc thiếu phương pháp chữa bệnh cộng với tính chất đa dạng của căn bệnh này đang làm cho bệnh lây lan nhanh.
Theo Cục Thú y thuộc Bộ Nông nghiệp, hơn 6.400 con heo đã được tiêu huỷ kể từ ngày 6 tháng 3. Ông Tiến nói thêm rằng chính quyền địa phương nên làm vệ sinh các khu vực bị ảnh hưởng cũng như kiểm soát việc vận chuyển heo để ngăn ngừa dịch bệnh lây lan.
Bệnh được phát hiện lần đầu tiên hồi đầu tháng 2 tại tỉnh Hưng Yên. Hiện tại đã lan rộng đến chín tỉnh, thành phố, bao gồm cả Hà Nội.
Một số nơi, bao gồm Đài Loan, Dubai, Mỹ và Vương quốc Anh, đã cấm nhập khẩu thịt heo từ Việt Nam vì dịch bệnh.
Bệnh tả heo châu Phi là một bệnh do virus lây nhiễm cho heo qua dịch cơ thể. Không thể chữa khỏi. Tuy nhiên, bệnh này không ảnh hưởng đến con người. Cho đến nay 20 quốc gia đã có dịch bệnh.
