The latest PMI data coming out of Vietnam bodes well for the country’s outlook for the next couple of months, according to IHS Markit.
- Headline manufacturing PMI posted the highest quarterly average in six years for the first quarter of 2017.
- The rate of output growth accelerated to the strongest since May 2015, amid a sharp rise in new orders.
- Job creation also grew at a sharper pace.
- Agriculture and industrial production, however, lagged behind manufacturing to start the year.
