Despite the fact that the ongoing investigations into collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians has yet to lead to any concrete evidence supporting such claims, Roger L Simon writes that reports claiming the Obama administration was trying to surveil Trump Tower are credible. Simon cites reports based on anonymous sources from Mark Levin, Breitbart, Andrew C McCarthy, and Louise Mensch, then also points to hedging from Obama surrogates such as his speech writer who warned against reporting that no wiretapping took place. While Simon may have a point regarding these murky goings on, perhaps the larger question is how Trump will move past the Russia story to get to his agenda. One wonders whether the timing and manner of Trump’s accusation is sound strategy.
