I would add that there is a great deal of curiosity in China about Judaism. The Chinese are fascinated by the fact that a tiny percentage of humankind (currently about 0.25%) has not only survived thousands of years of war, civil strife, religious conflict and constant persecution but that the tiny sliver contributes enormous slabs of science, technology, medicine, music, etc. etc. Of course, once outside China, the Chinese diaspora is very entrepreneurial and creative. Silicon Valley is heavily sinified. I would be delighted to get your thoughts on the reason for that. It may also have changed since the Deng revolution.
